Polaris
When I knew you were coming, I left everything behind to go and find you.
I crossed the ocean and the stellar weave, connecting the dots that would guide navigators to their destinations.
Polaris lights my way; it never left from me and even like that it is part of me.
The Ursa Minor will never be alone.
I will teach you everything I know, and then I'll learn it again, in a different way from you!
I want to show you which blueberries are genuine and which are false so you’ll know which ones to eat and you will never be deceived by those that can poison you.
I want to teach you the value of a sister’s bond—since you carry the name of the one who never knew what that meant.
I want to teach you to play an instrument and sing for you!
I know your steps will always be firm on the ground, but never forget that you have a pair of wings that can soar as well!
I want to know that I have you drawn with me in the sky so we can find each other even when we are far apart and remember that the distance is an illusion.
Arcas and I shared the same origin and the same destiny, fruits of the same sin and the same gift. Zeus is good!
The Ursa Minor will always guide you, even though your light within her it is what guides everyone else.
Polaris, shine forever!
May you always know that I carry you whenever you think of me, and even when you don’t.
You know where to find me—you just have to look from the outside.
Thiara Màtos.
